Our program will emphasize activities that promote lifelong health and fitness. These activities will be offered in a fun and safe learning environment, which will provide each individual student the opportunity for success. The team with some individual / dual sports will develop an understanding of the skills, rules, strategies, and values of sports and life long activities. Emphasis will be placed on positive attitudes, including sportsmanship and appreciation on one's strengths and limitations. Physical education will also develop an understanding of the nature and importance of physical fitness and provide the knowledge to develop and maintain throughout life. Dressing out Physical Education Classes requires dressing out everyday. All activities require dressing out (changing clothes). Proper attire for dressing out includes: q Navy Shorts q Plain Gray or White T-shirt q All North Port Logos will be accepted on shorts and t-shirts q Tennis Shoes (with full backs) - NO crocs, flip flops, or boots Ø Uniforms may purchase uniforms before and after school. The shorts are $10.00 and the shirts are $10.00 or a set may be purchased for $15.00. Locks and Personal Fitness Lockers Locks and Physical Education (Team Sports, Weight Training, & Personal Fitness) lockers will be provided for ALL students FREE OF CHARGE through the Physical Education Department. The Physical Education Department required for each student having his / her own locker to place valuables (wallets, jewelry, cell phones, ipods, etc.) in during outside activities. However, if a student looses their lock they will be charged a $10 replacement fee.
